Launcher
The Launcher module provides the user with easy access to the application
and document links that have been placed on the built-in Desk. The
user can select from the list of available links, and launch the
selected item. This mechanism provides a neat alternative to accessing
a cluttered Desk.
In addition, a number of shortcuts can be created to frequently
used applications and documents. The shortcuts can be launched from
the devices command buttons, or from the number keys on the
keypad (0-9). This feature is called "Speed Launch" due
to its similarity to the Nokia Communicator's speed dial feature.
Launcher also provides the user with the ability to configure applications
to launch automatically at device reset this is in addition
to auto-launching Active Desk itself.
Launcher commands are available at all times - including if the
Launcher module is configured not to be shown in the Active Desk
view (see General Settings).
