Cibenix joins Symbian's Platinum Partner Program to promote Operator solutions for Symbian OS-based Smartphones

Dublin, Ireland, December 2002: Irish company Cibenix have joined Symbian’s Platinum Partner Program. Cibenix delivers top-class software solutions for smartphones running Symbian OS. Cibenix's product line includes handset customisation solutions which provide operators with access to their customers, helping manage the customer relationship and driving service usage, all from within a branded environment. Cibenix also produces a number of best-selling productivity enhancement tools for the consumer.

Access Point is a software solution from Cibenix through which operators can increase their presence on the handset, optimizing it for their needs and the needs of their customers. Access Point provides an 'always on' channel giving the operator easy access to its customers. Operators can push personalized content such as branded images, advertisements, events information, and hyperlinks directly to the user's handset. The handset application displays this information to meet the requirements of the specific operator and is fully customizable.

Symbian Platinum Partner Program members benefit from a range of Symbian products and services allowing them to design highly integrated hardware and software solutions for Symbian OS. The commercial services available to Symbian Platinum Partners include technical support and joint marketing opportunities. Symbian Platinum Partners also get early access to the Symbian OS Development Kit™ which incorporates source code, test code, internal documentation, kernel and device driver programming interfaces and ROM building tools. Membership of the Symbian Platinum Partnership provides Cibenix with additional access to non-technical support including advice and feedback on product demonstrations and product marketing.
