Cibenix Application Management underpins X-Series success

Dublin, Ireland - 3rd February 2008 - Cibenix, a leading provider of On-Device Portal solutions for mobile operators, today announced the successful deployment of its Application Management solution across multiple 3 (Hutchinson 3G) operating countries.

The Cibenix solution provides application lifecycle management for the range of X-Series Symbian S60 devices offered by 3. The solution allows 3 subscribers to easily discover and access a range of rich internet applications on their device, and also allows 3 to manage these applications across the device population in each country. These management capabilities include comprehensive version management, and targeted promotion and provisioning of new and updated applications.

Over the last twelve months, X-Series has been launched by 3 in Australia, Hong Kong, Italy, United Kingdom, Denmark, Austria, Sweden and Ireland. X-Series customers pay a flat access fee for access to a range of internet applications from partners including Skype, Sling, Orb, Yahoo!, Microsoft, eBay and Google.
